Meet Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia Hunter Biden. Their love life and kids

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., also known as Joe Biden, is a politician who serves as the 46th and present President of the USA. He was a member of the Democratic Party and served in the US Senate between the years 1973 and 2009, during which time he was Delaware’s representative.

He held the position of Vice President of the US beneath Barack Obama from 2009 until 2017 and was the 47th Vice President of the US.

His undergraduate education was completed at the University of Delaware before he went on to complete it at Syracuse University in 1968, where he was awarded a degree in law.

After being elected to the position of New Castle County Councilor in 1970, he went on to become the 6th senator in the history of the US when, at the age of 29, he was appointed to the US Senate from the state of Delaware.

Joe Biden was married to his first wife from 1967 to 1972

Neilia first became acquainted with Biden while she was a student at Syracuse. When they ran into each other, they were both freshmen in college and vacationing in Nassau, Bahamas, over spring break.

On August 27, 1966, the pair exchanged vows and became husband and wife. Around that time, Joe had relocated to Syracuse and was actively pursuing his legal education there.

On the day of his wedding, Joe was attending law school. In the meantime, Neilia worked as a teacher of English in the public-school system of Syracuse City after earning her master’s degree in English, as stated in the announcement of the couple’s engagement that was published in The News Journal.

After tying the marriage, the couple made their home in Wilmington, Delaware, where Joe established a career as a lawyer and was elected to serve on the New Castle County Council. From that location, he led the effort to oust Senator J. Caleb Boggs of Delaware from his seat in the United States Senate.

The “brains” of his campaign were Neilia and her team. The horrific vehicle accident that took the lives of Nielia and Naomi, the couple’s daughter, in 1972 ended the love between the couple.

The love story of Joe and Neilia was cut brutally short, but Joe has done everything in his power to keep her legacy alive ever since.

Neilia Hunter Biden was an educator who was originally from the United States. She rose to prominence after being the first spouse of Joe Biden, now serving as the 46th and present President of the United States.

Nelia was connected to Robert Hunter, who had previously served on the city council in Auburn. She received her secondary education at Penn Hall.

Joe Biden’s first wife participated in extracurricular activities such as the school’s French club, hockey, swimming, and the student government.

She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and went on to teach in the Syracuse Public School District after completing her secondary education.

At the time, she worked as an English teacher at the Bellevue School in Syracuse, New York.

The birth of Beau happened on February 3, 1969, and his passing was on May 30, 2015, when he was 46 years old.

II. Hunter Biden

He is the second child of Joe with his first wife, Neilia. Hunter was born on February 4, 1970, and is currently 52 years old.

III. Naomi Biden

Naomi passed away when she was only one year old, on December 18, 1972, despite having been born on November 8, 1971.

On December 18, 1972, Neilia accompanied her sons Beau and Hunter, who was then 3 and 4 years old, together with her daughter Naomi. The latter had just turned one at the time to purchase a Christmas tree in preparation for the forthcoming holidays.

Joe had just been elected to the Senate, and he was in the process of starting his first office in the nation’s capital. A tractor-trailer collided with the station wagon that belonged to the family, causing the deaths of Neilia and Naomi and inflicting severe injuries on Beau and Hunter.

The senator-elect took his oath of office at the Wilmington, Delaware hospital, where both of Biden’s boys were being treated. After being in pain for a while, Biden met a woman named Jill Biden, whom he married on 1976.
